Discovery Meeting

We’ll discuss your challenges, what you want done, and why. We’ll talk about how to use organizational strategies to make your life more efficient.

Customized Plan

We determine if containers, shelves or other storage implements should be purchased and map out how everything should be organized.

Sorting

We take everything out of the area and organize it into groups of keep, toss, and donate along with a pile we’ll call “maybe” for items you’re not sure about.

Cleaning

Many clients clean the areas themselves once items are removed, or for bigger jobs, hire a cleaning crew. We can recommend a cleaning company to you.

Organization

Once the area is clean, we organize the items you’ve chosen by following our plan. When finished, you’ll have a thoughtful, organized system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure items I want to keep aren’t accidentally thrown out?

We will “purge” together. We’ll have a “donate” pile and a “toss” pile. We can also have a “maybe” pile for items you’re not sure about. Nothing will go in those piles without your approval and acceptance.

Will I need to purchase other items like shelves or storage containers?

Based on your end goals and vision for the organized space, we may recommend new storage or organization containers as part of your overall plan – they can be purchased at your discretion.

Can you purchase storage containers and other items for me?

We happily shop for clients at our normal hourly rate. We always look for deals and can shop at your preferred stores. We keep all receipts organized so charges are transparent and returns are easy.

How will I be able to find things quickly that you’ve organized and put away?

We never put anything away without you knowing where it goes and why – not buried in an out-of-the-way place. Our Common Sense Organizing system makes items easy to find.
